Christian Dupré
Christian Dupré is a photographer and visual artist. For more than forty years, he has opened his eyes and focused on light, travelling the world and capturing images. He tirelessly photographs nature, landscapes and the people who quietly pass through them. His quest takes him to meet people whose ancestral knowledge and wisdom live on. His photographic technique becomes increasingly artistic and dreamlike as he travels.
A self-taught photographer, Christian Dupré has exhibited at the Sacred Music Festival in Fez, Morocco, and in Switzerland at the Galerie Ilford, the Tibet Museum, the LAAO (Open Air de Photographies de Montreux), the FIF (Festival du Film de Fribourg), the Festival Altitudes on several occasions, the Fondation du Château de Gruyères and the MAHF Musée d'art de d'histoire de Fribourg. He continues to exhibit regularly in Switzerland and abroad in museums, festivals and art galleries.
He has produced numerous reports for the magazine ‘Animan’ and is co-author of the book ‘Himalaya, les royaumes secrets’ published by Mondo (1993). He has collaborated with Nikons News.
Christian Dupré is a member of the Swiss association of professional artists (VISARTE).
